Welcome, Operative. This is a guide intended to help you go through the World of the Living Dead's tutorial. This includes a transcript of the in-game's text and some explanations to help players to learn the basics of the game.

Getting started.[edit | edit source]

Right after your account is created, you will start as a Level 0 Operative. Close the tutorial window if you must, you can reopen it whenever you want by clicking the red first aid kit icon next to your name. You will be assigned two survivors in the Santa Catalina island. Pay attention to the Command screen. Your two survivors have several stats, including Health, Fear, Fatigue and Hunger.


We'll see more about that later. Right now just pay attention to them. Open the tutorial again and let's get to the first step.

Step 1. Get your bearings[edit | edit source]

You are a NECRA Operative in command of a small group of survivors. They're out in the open. You're safely inside a secure location. You control them by issuing orders on where to go and what to do.

First check out the Map page. Click on the globe in the top menu. It's on the far left.

When you've looked at the map page, come back to the Command page by clicking on the button next to the globe. The one with silhouettes of survivors.

After you've looked at the two pages, open the tutorial again by clicking on the red medkit at the top of the page to claim your reward.

Completing Step 1[edit | edit source]

This is a pretty simple step. The Map screen is the page where you can order your survivors to do stuff. The command page is where you can check your survivors' status in order to manage them. You will be visiting this page often, so be sure to get used to it.


When you're done, open the tutorial window again and click on the red Collect Reward text to continue.

Now you know how to get to two of the most important pages in World of the Living Dead. The Map page allows you to order your survivors where to go, while the Command page tells you everything you need to know about the status of your survivors, squads and safehouses.

Step 2. Managing your team[edit | edit source]

You can only tell survivors to move when they're in a squad. Squads can have up to ten survivors and you can have up to ten squads. Don't worry - you'll unlock additional squad slots as you level.

Create a squad now by going to the Command page and clicking on the following icon anywhere: ManageSquad.png

This will take you to the squad management page. Click on the green 'Create squad here' button and name your new squad

You can now put your survivors into the new squad from the box on the right. Just click on a name in the right-hand box (the safehouse) and then click on the squad box on the left-hand side. Move both survivors into the squad and come back here to collect your reward!

Completing Step 2[edit | edit source]

Squads are your basic management units. You won't go very far without putting your survivors in a squad. Right now your survivors are taking shelter in a safehouse. Click the button and click on the Create Squad here button. Name your squad (You can give it the name you wish, for example, Squad 1). When the squad is created, a squad box is created. Move your survivors from the Survivors in the safehouse box. Click on a survivors' name to highlight it, and then click anywhere inside the squad box. If the survivor is moved, he/she will be on the safehouse. Move your other survivor and go back to the tutorial box.

Squads are essential for playing WotLD effectively. You can order them to scavenge, complete missions, create safehouses or even attack other player squads!

Step 3. Moving on[edit | edit source]

It's time to tell your squad to go and get some weapons. Movement orders are always given from the Map page, so go there now.

Your new squad should automatically be selected from the left-hand menu on the Map page. If it isn't, click on the following icon to select it: SquadIcon.png

Double-click on the grid square to the North-East (grid reference 46,7) of your squad's current position. The squad will move there.

On the right of the map you can see several categories of items that you can scavenge. Click on the following icon to look for melee weapons: ScavMeleeIcon.png

Come back here to collect your reward as soon as your survivors have found some weapons.

Completing Step 3[edit | edit source]

It's time to take your survivors out of the safehouse. Please note that once they're outside of the safehouse, your survivors are vulnerable and can be injured by the zombies. Those colored squares on the map indicate the number of zombies lurking in a zone, known as Z-Density. The green zones are the safest, with danger increasing in blue, yellow, orange and red zones. The higher the danger, the more fear your survivors will feel, and the greater their chances they have of being injured. Try to stay in safer zones to avoid injuries and risks.

Go one zone to the northeast. Remember that you can only move to zones adjacent to the squads. Go straight to that zone, don't wander off or your survivors might get injured.


Once you get to the zone, scavenge for melee weapons. Don't click other icons as your scavenging chances are limited. Your survivors will find some items.


Hovering your cursor over the weapon's name will tell you the weapon's condition (From excellent to poor. As weapons deteriorate their power will decrease).

Rewards[edit | edit source]

Scavenging is the key to supplying your survivors with weapons, food, liquids and everything else they need to fight the living dead and carry out your orders effectively.

Step 4. Develop Skills[edit | edit source]

Now your survivors have weapons but they need to learn how to use them. Every person in your group gains Survival Points whenever you gain a level. These points can be spent to develop skills.

Go to the Command page now and click on any survivor name. You will go to their survivor sheet. This gives you all the information you need about the survivor and gives you access to their skills. Look for the following icon to develop the Skull Crusher skill.Skullcrusher.png

Click on the icon and choose 'Train' to invest SP in the skill. This will improve the survivor's ability to fight with melee weapons.

Completing Step 4[edit | edit source]

Learning to develop your survivors' skills is vital. Survivors can't do much without skills. Skills will allow them to become more effective in combat and scavenging, among other aspects. Of course, some skills are more useful than others, while others are effective but very expensive. Keep this in mind before developing your survivors' skills.

On the top of the page you have your available Survival Points (1 in this case). Every skill has 1, 5 or 10 levels to develop, depending on the skill. Each level raises the skill usefulness, but is progresively more expensive. The skill we need is Skull Crusher, so click on it.



Click on the train button to get level 1 Skull Crusher.

Every level of Skull Crusher unlocks 10% of a melee weapon's power (For example, if a melee weapon has a power of 100, a survivor with a level 1 Skull Crusher will have a power of 10, while a survivor with level 7 Skull Crusher will have 70.  Survivors will need a power near 25 to start killing zombies permanently, but a weaker weapon will still allow them to defend themselves.

Repeat the process with your other survivor and collect your rewards.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

There are lots of different skills to develop, but choose how you invest your Survival Points wisely. Your survivors will gain SP whenever you gain a level but you will also gain a small amount of SP from logging into WotLD each day. Remember that you will lose any invested SP if a character dies!

Step 5. Growing your team[edit | edit source]

SCUGS (Survival Cell User Guidance System) has identified a survivor at a nearby location on the island. You have received a mission to collect this survivor and add them to your group. Click on the Missions link (to the right of the Command button in the top menu) to view the mission parameters.

The survivor location is to the north of the island, marked with an orange dot on the map. Move your squad to the grid square, but try to avoid any grid squares which have high z-density (indicated by the color of the square).

When your squad reaches the mission location, click on the following icon in the vertical menu on the left of the map to complete the mission and add the survivor to your squad: MissionIcon.png

Completing Step 5[edit | edit source]

Missions are very important as they provide a high quantity of experience so you can level up. Survivor missions allow you to rescue new survivors for your team. Remember, another survivor means another pair of hands and eyes to scavenge or search, but it's also another mouth to feed.

Go to your mission lists in the Missions page and check it. Note the number next to the MissionIcon.png. Whenever there is a number here, a new mission is available for you.


Open the map page and prepare for a rescue mission.


Orange dots on the map represent missions. Look for the coordinates of the mission to the north of you. Once again, the MissionIcon.png icon appears again. This allows you to see your missions list. The crosshairs icon focuses the map zoom on the mission area. The magnifying glass lets you review the mission objective. Head towards the mission zone. Remember that you can only go to areas directly adjacent to your squad.

Note that there are some yellow, orange and blue areas right between your squad and the mission area. These are areas with more Z-density. Rather than heading straight, try to skirt around them to stay on the green as it is much safer.

Once you reach the area, click on the MissionIcon.png icon once more, this time on the left of the map. This will allow you to complete the mission. Add you new survivor to your squad and collect your reward.

SCUGS will regularly locate suitable new survivors for your group. Be careful to watch the deadline for missions and collect new survivors before time runs out.

Step 6. Improved scavenging[edit | edit source]

Your survivors can learn to scavenge more efficiently. Many locations have been looted, but there's always something useful lying around.

Go to the character sheet (click on their name) for your newest survivor and look for the Urban Forager skill.

This skill increases the percentage chance that the survivor will find items when scavenging. There are no guarantees, but every advantage counts.

Develop the skill to complete this step of the tutorial.

Completing Step 6[edit | edit source]

Urban Forager is another useful skill. It improves the chance of getting loot when scavenging in a zone. The amount is modest, but every bonus counts.

Open the skill page of your new survivor (make sure it's the one you just rescued) and do exactly what you did with your other survivors and Skull Crusher, but choose Urban Forager instead. You can find it on the 7th row of skills, on the bottom group.

You can also choose to develop skills for your other survivors now. Improve their Skull Crusher skills or choose a different skill. Or you can save the SP to invest later.

Note: You can spend the SP you have gathered so far for all you survivors. However, I recommend you to save them until you finish this tutorial, since skills won't help much for the rest of it.

Step 7. Rehydrate[edit | edit source]

Your new survivor appears to be very thirsty. Thirst and Hunger affect combat abilities, so it's worth telling your survivors to eat and drink whenever they need supplies. You can see their current needs in the survivor table (visible on the Command and Map pages) under the Hunger and Thirst columns.

Completing Step 7[edit | edit source]

If you check your new survivor's stats in the Command page, you'll notice he/she has a high level of thirst (75%). Not paying attention to hunger and thirst will not only make your survivors vulnerable to injuries, but may also cause them to go off on their own for a few days (i.e. go AWOL). Pay attention to their needs so you don't have to worry about it.

Go back to the map. Don't move your squad. Instead, scavenge for liquids in the same zone you rescued your survivor (coordinates 46, 11), just like you did with melee weapons. You will obtain a couple of bottles of water for your new survivor.


The tutorial step ends here. You can collect your rewards now. However, keep reading to learn how to use the items you just obtained.

Open your survivors' inventory by clicking the Manage Items icon ManageInventory.png  anywhere on the map or command screen. This will take you to your survivors' inventory. You will see a box with your survivors' name, their stats (weight they're carrying, hunger and thirst), six equipment slots and an empty box. You can move items by clicking on them and clicking again on the place you want to move them to, just as you did with your survivors when making a squad. Look below the image for a detailed description of each element, from top to bottom.


  • Survivor's name. Clicking on it will take you to the survivor's page where you can manage their skills and see their weapon stats.
  • Weight. Weight of the items the survivor is carrying/Weight limit. Male survivors can carry a default of 30 kg, while Female survivors can carry 20 kg. Minors and seniors carry less regardless of their gender. A survivor carrying weight close to their limit will get fatigued more quickly.
  • Thirst and hunger. Survivors need to drink 2 liters (2,000 mililliters) of liquids daily. Female survivors need to eat 1,000 calories, males need 2,000. Click on the backpack icon to make your survivors consume the liquids or food they're carrying. Click on the house icon (when your survivors are in a safehouse) to consume from items stored in the safehouse.
  • Equipment slots (Firearm, melee, Head armor, Torso armor, Arms armor, Legs armor). Weapons and armor need to be equipped here so they can be used. Weapons not equipped will not be used. Survivors need the respective skill (and ammo in case of firearms) to use weapons. If a survivor has both skills to use melee and firearms, and a melee weapon as well as a firearm and ammo equipped, the firearm takes priority.
  • Backpack. All items (except for those equipped) go here, including those a survivor just scavenged. Weapons and armor here have no effect, as they need to be equipped.

Order your new survivor to drink the bottles of water he/she just found and equip your melee weapons. Once you're done, go to the next tutorial step.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

Make sure you find some supplies and order your survivors to consume food and liquids every day. Keeping them happy will prevent them from going AWOL and make them better at helping you carry out your mission.

Step 8. Recovery time[edit | edit source]

Your survivors have accumulated some Fear and Fatigue. Tired or scared survivors are more likely to make mistakes, which can lead to injuries or even death.

Squads can rest when in safehouses. At the beginning of the crisis, NECRA dropped secure containers around the area of operations. These NECRA safehouses provide basic protection from the living dead.

Your first two survivors started off in one of these NECRA safehouses in the south of the island. Go back there now and your survivors will recover over time. If you can't remember where it was, head south to coordinates (45, 6).

When your squad gets there, click on SafehouseIcon1.png in the right-hand panel and then SafehouseIcon2.png to enter the safehouse and rest.

Completing Step 8[edit | edit source]

Survivors need to rest and recover. They can only recover in a safehouse. It's time to go back and rest for a while.

You need to return to the southwest. Remember to stay away from dangerous areas to be safe. In case you don't remember where to go, check the coordinates to the right of your map, above the scavenge interface. Learn to remain oriented, or else you may get lost and get in problems later.

Click on the safehouse icons on the square of the map with the blue dot. Blue dots represent NECRA safehouse, so keep that in mind whenever you need a place to stop and rest.

Note that resting recovers health, fear and fatigue, but this process takes some time. You might need some hours before your survivors are fully rested. You can see the timer below your survivors' stats. It says how much time is left before your survivors fully recover, in hours, minutes and seconds. You can speed the recovery time up with skills and by other means we'll see later.


Note: When you collect your rewards, your survivors' fear and fatigue will be resetted so you can continue the tutorial right away.

Rewards[edit | edit source]

Recovering Fear and Fatigue or regaining Health from injuries can take some time. You can build and upgrade your own safehouses later on to speed up this process.

To help you get on with the tutorial, we'll reset all your survivor stats as soon as you collect your XP reward by clicking the link below.

Step 9. Scavenge Firearm[edit | edit source]

It's often a good idea to rely on hand-to-hand weapons when dealing with the living dead. Melee creates less noise and attracts fewer zeds over time. But there's nothing like a gun for protection.

You can now scavenge for firearms and SCUGS has sent you information on a good source. Go to coordinates (46, 8) and search for firearms by clicking on the Firearm category: ScavFirearmIcon.png

Completing Step 9[edit | edit source]

You should be familiar with the procedure by now. Head to the coordinates 46, 8 to the northeast. The zone where you are headed is yellow, which means that the Z-density is moderately high. You normally won't want to stay on those zones for long. Click on the Scavenge firearm button like you did in previous steps.


Your survivor will find a Glock 17 handgun. Hover the cursor over its name to see its condition. Like melee weapons, firearms might deteriorate with use and its firepower will go down.

There are several different types of firearms, like handguns, shotguns and rifles. There are also lots of different weapons of the same class, and some are better than others. Guns need ammo and the appropriate skill to be used. We'll see more about this in the next steps of the tutorial.

Rewards Firearms are especially useful for braving higher z-density areas, but you need to be careful about creating too much noise. Remember that survivors will tend to use firearms if they can, so unequip them and equip melee weapons if you need to be quiet.

Step 10. Get ammo[edit | edit source]

Every firearm needs ammo. SCUGS has identified a location which should provide you with some 9x19mm rounds for your Glock.

Send your squad to coordinates (47, 8) and click on the Ammunition category icon to search for ammo: ScavAmmoIcon.png

Completing Step 10[edit | edit source]

Guns need ammo, and they come in lots of different types. When you find an gun, check it in your inventory to see its caliber. Even if you have ammo, make sure you have the correct caliber for the gun you're using. You can have hundreds of .45 ACP rounds, but if you only have a 9mm handgun, they'll be little more than dead weight unless you find a gun that uses those .45 rounds.

Send your squad to the coordinates 47,8 and scavenge for ammunition. This zone is orange, so it's even more dangerous. Be careful. 


Have you noticed that the most dangerous zones are around the city of Avalon? Urban areas are more populated, so they're more likely to have zombies than unpopulated areas, However, urban areas are more likely to contain useful items. Keep that in mind when guiding your squads. Right now scavenge for ammo.


Your survivors will find a few rounds of 9x19mm ammo. This is the same caliber that your Glock needs. There are lots of other guns and calibers of ammunition, some rarer than others. Use them sparingly.

Right now you have a gun and ammo. However, you can't use them because your survivors have no skills. We'll see more about that on the next tutorial step. Now go and collect your rewards.

Rewards [edit | edit source]

Make sure that all the ammo is in the backpack of the survivor carrying the gun or it can't be used. Every firearm needs a different caliber of bullet, so pay close attention to any ammo you find. The next step will show you how to develop the correct skill for the Glock, so collect your XP reward to progress.

Step 11. Develop Shootist Skill[edit | edit source]

Survivors are unable to use firearms until you develop the correct skill. Each firearm type has a corresponding skill. Your survivors found a Glock 17, which is a pistol. The Shootist skill is the right choice, so go to the survivor sheet for the last survivor you collected and develop the Shootist skill.

Completing Step 11.[edit | edit source]

Unlike melee weapons, which only need one skill, every firearm type needs its own skill. To use the Glock, or any other handgun, you need the skill Shootist. Click on your newest survivor's name and upgrade the Shootist skill. It's to the left of Skull Crusher.


Gun skills like Shootist work exactly the same as Skull Crusher, with every level unlocking 10% of the firearm's total firepower. For example, if your Glock's firepower is 40, every level will unlock 10% of it (i.e. 4 points of firepower). A survivor with level 5 shootist has 50% of the firearm's power (20). Once again, survivors need a firepower of around 25 to kill zombies permanently, but a lower firepower will still protect them from the zombies.

Note: You can equip and use your Glock now. However, you won't need to use it for the rest of the tutorial. Save your ammo for when you really need it!

Make sure you examine the other skills to find out which corresponds to the different firearms. Without the right skill, a survivor will just waste lots of bullets!

Step 12. SCUGS Mission: Collect codes[edit | edit source]

Sometimes NECRA will order you to use your survivors to complete a special mission. SCUGS has identified the location of a dead NECRA field agent on the island. The agent was carrying important codes which need to be uploaded to SCUGS.

Send your squad to the grid square with the orange dot and click the complete mission icon MissionIcon.png on the left of the map to upload the codes.

Go to the map and then Click here to locate mission on map.

Completing Step 12[edit | edit source]

Like rescue missions, you will sometimes be assigned other kinds of missions for you to accomplish. These missions can be about going to a location and completing a task, or taking an item to leave it at another place. This mission is one of the former. Remember, you can check the mission, the deadline, the objective and the reward on the missions page.

Open your map, and click on the MissionIcon.png on the right of your map. Again, the crosshairs icon allows you to focus the map's zoom on the mission zone. The mission is in the northwest of your location. If you can't see it, zoom the map out with the controls on the upper left corner to find the orange mission dot. Go there and remember to skirt around dangerous zones.

Once you reach the mission zone, click on the MissionIcon.png icon on the left of the map to complete the mission.


Rewards[edit | edit source]

The codes have been uploaded to SCUGS. Missions often offer very high amounts of XP so make sure you regularly check to see if any missions are available by clicking on the Missions button in the top menu (it's next to the Command button).

Step 13. Armor: Extra protection[edit | edit source]

Your survivors can be injured whenever they encounter zeds. They can even be bitten, if things get very tough. Armor helps to protect various body parts from damage. SCUGS indicates that there's likely to be some usable armor in this grid square. Go to the map page and click on the Armor item category to tell your survivors to search for some: ScavArmorIcon.png

Completing Step 13[edit | edit source]

Armor is equipment purely defensive in nature. It helps providing a small protection from injuries. There are several types of ammo, which fit on different slots of the survivors' equipment. Helmets go on the head, bulletproof vests go on the torso and so on. Armors provide protection, but are rare are heavy. It might be best to avoid injuries in the first place.

You know what to do. Remain on the zone where you just completed your last mission and click on the Scavenge Armor button.


As with weapons, armors can deteriorate with use. You can see their condition by hovering your cursor over the name of the items. As conditions deteriorate, the defensive bonus is lowered.

Different types of armors have different values on the following bonuses:

  • Armor bite resistance: Resistance it provides against bites. Bites happen on areas with high Z-density (typically red). Bitten survivors will get infected and die, so avoid bites at all costs.
  • Armor injury resistance: Resistance it provides against injuries. Probably the most useful, it helps preventing injuries when facing zombies.
  • Armor PvP injury resistance: Resistance it provides against attacks from other players. Other players can attack and injure your squads. This might help reducing your chances of being injured by those attacks.

Equip your new armors if you wish and collect your rewards.

Now that you've found some armor, you can go to the manage inventory page to place it in the armor slot of any survivor.

Armor can only work in the correct slot. For instance, a Motorcycle Helmet should be assigned to Head Armor.

Final step: Go to the mainland[edit | edit source]

It's time for your squad to be evacuated to the mainland. There's a NECRA evac helicopter waiting at the airport which will take them to the assigned area of operations.

Send all your survivors to the airport now to complete the tutorial.

Completing the Final Step[edit | edit source]

Congratulations, Operative. You're about to finish the tutorial! You should have mastered the basics of survival right now. Remember that you can always read this page again when you need it. The Santa Catalina Island is deserted, except for the zombies, and your survivors won't be able to find enough supplies to stay alive if they stay. They need to move to the mainland, so it's time to get to the airport.

Click on the "Click here to locate the airport" text on the tutorial box, or open the map and zoom out to look for the airport on the map, to the northwest of your squad. It looks like this: 


Make sure you reach this zone. Open the tutorial box again to finish this step and collect your rewards. Congratulations, you made it!

Your survivors are ready to be sent to the mainland. Collect your XP reward to complete the tutorial.

Reward: 50 XP

After the tutorial[edit | edit source]

You will be sent to a random area of Los Angeles. From this point, you are on your own. Things won't be easy as they were in the tutorial. Where to go and what to do now are your choices. You need to keep some things in mind now.

  • Spend your survival points. If you haven't already, go to your survivors' page and spend the SP you have collected. Skull Crusher and Urban Forager are good starting choices.
  • Scavenging is random now, and your odds are quite low. You won't find items automatically as in the tutorial. Don't exhaust your survivors trying to find guns and ammo. Focus on finding the basic items you need to keep your survivors alive, like food and liquids, and if possible, melee weapons.
  • Stay away from dangerous zones. Your survivors can handle green and blue areas right now, but you'll need more skills and better equipment to venture into more dangerous zones or your survivors will be torn apart by the zombies.
  • Let your survivors rest. If your survivors are tired or injured, leave them at a safehouse and wait for them to recover. Don't push them too far or they will be killed.
  • You can move freely. If you started in a dangerous place, try retreating to a safer place. If the zone contains few items to scavenge, try searching for a better zone. Remember that urban zones are more likely to be infested with zombies. Remember to skirt around dangerous areas to keep your survivors safe.
  • You are vulnerable to PvP. Other survivors can attack you now if your squad is outside of a safehouse. Be careful, and always leave your survivors at a safehouse if you're not watching.
  • There are tasks left to do. The Tutorial becomes Your tasklist. It can still be accessed the way you acessed the tutorial. Complete the tasks for XP bonuses and to learn more about other aspects of the game.

Your Tasklist[edit | edit source]

The Tutorial continues as Your Tasklist. It contains more tasks and info about the game, and will give you XP bonuses for your efforts. Open the tasklist as you did with the tutorial and start it right away!

You've completed the tutorial but there's lots more to do. Complete tasks to gain XP!

Completing Step 1[edit | edit source]

-Edit your survivors' bio.

If you put attention to your survivors' sheets, you might have seen the a box of text where you could write your survivors' bios.

Click on your survivor's name and open


their survivor sheet. You can find the bio box on the bottom left of the page.

You can write whatever you want in this page, create your survivors' story and be creative. You have a 255-character limit for it. You can come back and edit this text whenever you wish. Be creative!

-Send a message to another player.

Narcissistic, aren't we? :P

See the mail envelope icon below the map icon on the page? That's the message system. This allows you to send private messages to other players.

To send a message, click on that icon and then click on the Compose icon. You will need to enter the name of the recipient of the message, a subject and the message itself. Feel free to send a hello message to a friend or something similar.

If you don't know who to send the message, you can message yourself by entering your own name on the "To" box and send it. You will receive your message and complete this task. 

-Write graffiti in any grid square.

Graffiti allows you leave a message in a zone so anyone else can read it. You can access through the left menu on the map by clicking the GraffitiIcon.png icon on it.

You can write whatever you want in here. You can also read the messages other players have left.


Write a graffiti of your own and go back to the Tasklist box to claim your reward!

Completing Step 2[edit | edit source]

NECRA Credits can be purchased with real money to support the game, and give you the option of buying some advantages you can't get elsewhere. NECRA Credits are spent on the Shop


. Find the shop icon and click on it.

The shop sells some unique items called meds. Meds can help you recover your survivors' stats (Fear, Fatigue, Hunger and Thirst) immediately. Unlike other items, these don't go to your survivors' inventories. They remain on your account and can be used whenever you want by clicking below your survivors' stats bar. (MOR restores health, BEN restores fear, AMP restores Fatigue, ELE restores thirst and CAL restores hunger)


The shop also sells regular items, from guns and ammo to armors and research components. The shop has the following options:

  • Restore Health: Sells Morphine (MOR). Every shot restores ?% health.
  • Reduce Fear: Sells Benzodiazepine (BEN). Every dose lowers fear by 50%
  • Reduce Fatigue: Sells Amphetamines (AMP). Every dose lowers fatigue by 40%
  • Reduce Thirst: Sells Electrolyte Sachets (ELE). Every sachet lowers thirst by 1,000 milliliters (1 liter)
  • Reduce Hunger: Sells Calorie Tablets (CAL). Every tablet lowers hunger by 1,000 calories.
  • Bug-out bags: Sells a selection of bug-out bags, containing items like ammunition, guns and other supplies.
  • Item shop: Sells ammunition, guns, armors, melee weapons and research components.
  • Special bundles: Sells a selection of med bundles.

Enter the Special bundles shop and buy a Shock Treatment Kit for 48 NC, and then enter the Bug-out bags shop to get a Basic Bug-out Bag for 20 NC.

Bug-out bags and items you buy can be delivered to any survivor you want. Look for the following message on the main page:

Tasklist Step 3[edit | edit source]

  • Create a safehouse
  • Install an Infirmary at any of your own safehouses
  • Install a Lookout Post at any of your own safehouses

Completing Step 3.[edit | edit source]

You don't have to rely on NECRA safehouses for your survival. You can create your own safehouse by ordering your survivors to barricade a suitable place by clicking the CreateSafehouseIcon.png icon on the left of your map.

Having a safehouse has a big advantage. You can install upgrades to help you improve your safehouse functionality, or even to add some new options to it.

Once you've gotten your own safehouse, you need to install two upgrades, an Infirmary and a Lookout post. You need to scavenge for upgrades to get them. You'l need a First Aid Kit and some Binoculars to install them

Note: If you just finished the tutorial, you need to level up a bit to complete these steps. You need to be in Level 10 to install an Infirmary and Level 16 to install the Binoculars.
